First Christian Church of Freedom is inviting Businesses, Churches, or Organizations of all kinds to form a TEAM.
The event will support The Way Station located in North Conway. The Way Station is a Day Resource Center for Homeless & Housing-Insecure Residents of Mt Washington Valley.
Funds raised will support The Way Station General Operating Fund (50%) and the Way Station Cold Weather Program (50%).
TEAM: How to Become a Sponsor
The cost to the sponsor:
Financial: As little as $200 for one TEAM
Effort: Find 4 bowlers
Marketing: Occasional shout outs about MEMBERs
The value to the sponsor (Business, Church, or Organization)

- Engage people who aren’t as involved and widen your own circle
- Create a vibe, be part of something bigger
- Pics of your people for your webpage/social media accounts
- Endless other benefits that are rooted in your community’s own sense of service to the world.
The Sponsor:
- Registers a TEAM for $200 by filling out a registration form and submitting a check made out to The Way Station or giving the funds to the Way Station via online donation.
- Chooses whether their TEAM will participate on Sunday the 3rd or Monday the 4th. The goal is to have 15 TEAMs on Sunday and 15 TEAMs on Monday. First come, first served.
- Identifies 4 individuals from its community to bowl. These bowlers are the TEAM MEMBERs and are directed by the TEAM to fill out the MEMBER Registration Form.
- Shares news about their TEAM, its MEMBERS, the event details, and why The Way Station is an important partner in our region for meeting needs of those who are homeless or housing insecure.
- Celebrate MEMBERs on its website, social media platform(s), and word of mouth.
TEAM MEMBERs What do the 4 bowlers need to know?
The Bowler:
- Registers to bowl, directed by their TEAM, using an online form. The form asks for names, cell phone numbers, email addresses, and — importantly — the name of the TEAM. This is how they become MEMBERs.
- Agrees to show up at the appointed time to Saco Valley Sports Center in Fryeburg. The cost to bowl is $0. The cost of the rental shoes is $0. The cost of the pizza and beverage is $0.
Everything is covered by the TEAM sponsorship. - Seeks just 10 or more people they know personally to make a gift to The Way Station of any amount in support of their bowling effort. Gifts can be made in one of three ways: (1) Given to the bowler in cash — placed in an envelope with the name/address of the donor on the front, (2) Check made out to The Way Station and either given to the bowler or sent to The Way Station, or (3) Online gift using the online giving portal of The Way Station’s website.
