Ladies Guild

Do you love to sew or quilt or would enjoy the fellowship of other women?  If so, our Ladies Guild may be the answer!  We meet every Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the First Christian Church of Freedom.  We sew and also enjoy devotions and lunchtime together.

This year we hope to make about 300 quilts for Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), which in turn gives them to the Memorial Hospital Birthing Program and area nursing homes.

Additionally, we also create a raffle quilt that is raffled off on the 3rd Sunday in November.  Those proceeds are used to purchase more materials and supplies for our quilting projects.

We also participate in Freedom’s Rubber Ducky Day, Old Home Week Parade Day, Old Home Week Craft Sale at the Freedom Elementary School and in Freedom Rings in the Holidays.  On those days, we sell a variety of handmade items in addition to many quilts.

If you are interested in becoming a part of this group, just call the church at 539-6484 or e-mail us at [email protected] and we’ll be in touch.  We’d love to have you.
