30+ bakers from or near Freedom are coming together to create a limited number of tins of (drumroll) — homemade cookies!
“Christmas Cookies of Freedom” Form
On DEC 2 — widely known as Giving Tuesday — the tins will go “on sale.” That means that the first 60 people to make a gift to the church in the amount of $100, $50, or $25, will get a tin on December 14th. Every dollar goes to the church, so we hope everyone will be as generous as they can be. Be on the lookout for information as it becomes known!
On DEC 13, the bakers will gather at the church, each one arriving with 50 identical cookies. We’ll enjoy a little bit of fellowship and (mostly appropriate) revelry to include Renee Wheaton’s scrumptious cinnamon rolls before posing for a group picture. Then Janet, Pam, and Lucy will spend the next two hours assembling the tins. 60 tins of cookies, each with more than two dozen homemade cookies.
On DEC 14, we will have a “Blessing of the Cookies” at worship and then — beginning at about Noon — the cookies will be picked up by or delivered to those who preordered a tin of cookies! How does one go about snagging a tin of cookies? Good question.
