The people of First Christian Church of Freedom (1) Love God, (2) Love Neighbors, and (3) Serve those in need. It’s always good to help those in need … and if it can happen while having a good time — all the better! Each Sunday during the *Announcements* at worship, we’ll draw from two baskets, both filled with pre-printed scrolls. One basket of scrolls are the possible ITEMs of the WEEK. The other basket has dollar amounts.
For 5 weeks, we’ll have homework: to buy the item(s) of the week when we’re doing our weekly shopping and to carve out the dollar amount in a jar or container at home. On February 8 — SuperBowl Sunday — we’ll bring all of the food items and money to church, giving it to the Freedom Food Pantry. After church, we’ll all gather at Town Hall for a delicious brunch. All are welcome. Church members … Friends of the Church … Community members … all of us who can help the ones who are hungry or food insecure.
